You earn a fortune in your lifetime.
Most of it doesn’t stay with you.

Stats NZ puts typical working-life earnings above $3 million. Yet by retirement, most Kiwis live on the pension and a KiwiSaver balance that covers only a few years. Where does the rest go?

It leaks. Quietly. For decades. Into fund fees, tax structure, mortgage settings, bank rates, and autopilot decisions you never made consciously. We find what’s leaking in your finances, and write you a plan to fix it.

When something feels wrong with your health, a bad doctor hands you paracetamol and tells you to rest.

A good doctor runs the tests, reads the scans, examines you properly, then tells you what’s actually wrong and exactly what to do about it.

Financial advice is the same. Generic tips are paracetamol. A Statement of Advice is the examination, the diagnosis, and the written plan – on your numbers, for your life.

Find it. Multiply it. Keep it.

You are not buying a prediction. You are not buying a product. You are buying a full, written, licensed Statement of Advice – a document that shows where your money is leaking, quantifies the cost, and gives you the exact sequence of changes to plug the leaks and put time back on your side.

You own the plan. You execute it at your own pace. We never touch your money, never hold your accounts, never take a commission.

What your Statement of Advice contains
A strategic detailed plan with your current situation, recommended and alternative strategies to act.

Your SoA is researched, modelled and written by me personally. Each one is built around your specific numbers. Length depends on your situation, goals, and the complexity involved. Typical delivery: 2-3 weeks from paid engagement.

  • Your current financial picture, laid out on paper
  • Specific leak points – accounts, products, and decisions costing you money
  • A recommended strategy: cashflow rules, debt priorities, target allocations
  • KiwiSaver fund and contribution recommendations
  • Mortgage strategy and scheduled review triggers
  • Projected numbers at 10, 20, and 30 years – and by age 65
  • A clear action sequence – what to do, and in what order
  • An alternative strategy if you prefer a different risk level or priority
  • Written in plain English. No jargon. No fine-print traps.

How it works – three steps
No phone calls. No meetings. You set the pace.

Who writes your plan
NZ-licensed adviser. Engineering background. Everything independently verifiable.

I’m Vitaly. I’m the founder and adviser at VIS.finance™.

Before financial advice, I spent over a decade in industrial electrical, automation, process control and instrumentation – the kind of work where a small oversight puts someone in hospital or costs the company millions. That’s where I learned the two habits I bring into financial advice: find what’s actually wrong, and take responsibility for fixing it.

I came to New Zealand as an immigrant with almost nothing. In 2022, armed with successful experience in intraday, swing, and options trading, I sold my car and invested every dollar I had into a disciplined portfolio. I did this because I wanted to prove my investing method with my own capital before asking anyone to trust it with theirs.

Then I trained and got fully licensed:

  • NZ Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services (Investment strand)
  • Financial Advice Provider licence, granted by the FMA in 2025
  • FSP1010421 – listed on the public Financial Service Providers Register
  • IFSO Scheme member (free, independent dispute resolution)
  • Professional Indemnity insured through DUAL (Gallagher)

You can verify every one of those. Search FSP1010421 on the Financial Service Providers Register at fsp-register.companiesoffice.govt.nz.

Is this right for you? (An honest filter)
I’d rather you don’t engage than engage and regret it.
Yes if:
  • You have KiwiSaver and have never actively reviewed the fund
  • You have savings sitting at bank rates
  • You have a mortgage and haven’t reviewed it in over a year
  • You can save a little each month but don’t know where to put it
  • You’ve thought about investing but feel overwhelmed
  • You want a written plan you control – not a salesperson
Not right now if:
  • You can’t currently cover your basic bills – try MoneyTalks (moneytalks.co.nz) first, it’s free
  • You want someone to manage money for you – I only advise
  • You want stock tips or day-trading advice
  • You need pure insurance advice – I’d refer you to a specialist
  • Not ready to pay for advice yet – start on the VIS.finance™ app free plan and get your money picture clear first

Common questions before engaging
The objections a thoughtful reader is already thinking through.

Will you get access to my bank accounts, passwords, or money?
No. We never touch your money, never hold your accounts, never ask for logins. I don’t sell products and have no financial interest in recommending anything. You share the information you choose to share. I write the plan. You execute it yourself.

How do I know this is legitimate and licensed?
Search FSP1010421 on the FSP Register at fsp-register.companiesoffice.govt.nz. You’ll see Vital Ideal Solutions Limited (trading as VIS.finance™), the FAP licence, the IFSO membership and the details the FMA holds about me. All public, all verifiable.

Is the plan AI-generated?
No. Every SoA is researched, modelled and written by me personally. I use professional tools where appropriate, but every recommendation is my judgment on your specific situation, signed under my FAP licence.

How long does the whole process take?
Typically 2-3 weeks from paid engagement to SoA delivery, depending on how quickly you return the fact-find.

What about ongoing help after the plan?
Optional, never required. If you want help implementing the plan, I offer hourly screen-share support. If you want the plan kept current as life changes, there’s an Ongoing Review service. Both are separate, optional agreements entered after you’ve received your SoA.

No-find, refund.

If my advice doesn’t identify at least $1,000 of average annual value, assessed over the 5-year projection in your plan, I refund your fee less a $150 admin cost.

Read that carefully.

That’s $1,000 a year, for at least 5 years – a minimum of $5,000 of identified value from a one-time $950 fee. Or I refund you.

On the fee you pay me, that’s a 100% return in year one alone, and it keeps delivering in years 2, 3, 4, 5. No markets, no guessing – a contractual floor for the value of my advice, or your money back.

And $5,000 is the floor, not the ceiling. Most plans identify considerably more. This is simply the line below which I refuse to keep your fee.

The greatest investments people ever make:

  • Immigrating to a better country
  • Education that leads to better work
  • Health – exercise, sleep, early check-ups
  • Marrying the right person
  • Getting proper financial advice early in life

Starting to invest early is often listed here too, but on its own it is not safe – plenty of people start early and lose the lot. Proper financial advice is the safe version: it covers the investing, the strategy, the tax, the debt, and the order you do everything in.

I wish I’d had good financial advice when I was 20. I cannot give you back the years. I can give you the plan that stops you losing the next ones.

Full wording is in the engagement agreement you’ll review on the next page, before paying.
