Frequently Asked Questions

How does the consultation work?

We start with a short introductory step online. You tell about your goals, current situation, and what you would like help with. If needed, we will ask a few follow-up questions so we can understand the scope properly, explain your options, and answer your questions. There is no pressure and no sales pitch – just clarity. After that, you decide if you would like to work together.

Do you give advice on stocks?

Yes – we provide licensed financial advice on US-listed investments, including individual shares, ETFs, and managed funds. Where appropriate, we can also help clients use recognised international brokers for global portfolio access.

Are you licensed?

Yes – VIS.finance™ is a licensed Financial Advice Provider (FAP Class 1, FSP1010421) under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
All financial advice is provided in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services and New Zealand law.

Can we work with you from overseas?

We work entirely online and may be able to support some clients based overseas, depending on the jurisdiction and the nature of the service needed. We do not provide regulated financial advice under foreign jurisdictions; however, we may assist with education, portfolio structure, and global investment strategy where appropriate.

How we start working with you?

Simply book your consultation. If we are a good fit, we will agree on a scope of service and next steps. Everything is done remotely – no office visit required. You remain in control at every stage.

What fees do you charge?

Fees are agreed upfront based on your individual needs. We do not receive commissions or product incentives. The pricing is transparent, competitive, and tailored to the level of advice you need – whether that is a one-off Statement of Advice, implementation support, or ongoing review and advice support.

Is there a minimum investment amount?

There is no fixed minimum, but professional advice is usually most effective once you have meaningful savings or investments to manage – typically from NZD 50,000 and above.
If you are still building your first investment base, we can help you design a simple, effective plan to get started.

Is the consultation confidential?

Absolutely. All discussions are private and handled in line with the VIS.finance™ Privacy Policy. No information is shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
