What We Help With

Clear advice. Practical support. Ongoing stewardship to keep your plan working as life and markets change.

CORE SERVICES

Statement of Advice (SoA) – tailored financial advice

This is our main service. We prepare a written Statement of Advice that brings every part of your financial life into one clear plan. The SoA sets the priorities and the action sequence – what to do first, what matters most, and how much to allocate to each type of asset or goal.
Your SoA can cover anything that matters to your financial life. If you do not see your topic below, tell us and we will include it in the scope where appropriate. Common areas clients ask us to cover include:

  • Goals and priorities
  • Cashflow structure and savings rules
  • Debt strategy and repayment priorities
  • Mortgage strategy and review points
  • Investment strategy and target allocations
  • KiwiSaver and retirement settings
  • Risk comfort and safeguards
  • A clear action sequence so you know what happens next

The SoA sets the strategic plan. Implementation is for practical help to carry out accepted recommendations already documented in the latest SoA. If ongoing tactical portfolio guidance is needed later, that is provided through Ongoing Review.

Implementation of the latest SoA – hourly online support

Implementation is optional practical help to put your accepted latest SoA into action, billed hourly. Tell us what you want done and we will support it where it is part of carrying out accepted recommendations already documented in the latest SoA. You remain in control and confirm every action.
If you need help with any part of implementing your latest SoA, we can usually support it. This can include, for example:

  • Choosing a broker or platform and account setup guidance
  • Account opening and verification guidance
  • Linking bank accounts and understanding transfer steps
  • Funding the account and currency conversion guidance
  • Completing forms and handling platform messages
  • Explaining platform screens, settings and what each step means
  • Guided execution where you perform and confirm actions consistent with your SoA
  • Building the portfolio so it matches the SoA allocations
  • Putting cashflow and debt actions into practice (automation, repayment steps you take with lenders)
  • Troubleshooting logins, access, verification delays, or platform errors

If your task is not listed – tell us exactly what you want help with. If it is part of carrying out accepted recommendations already documented in your latest SoA, and you are the decision-maker, we can usually support it.
Important note – we provide guidance and support only. We do not act as agent, hold client funds, or provide fresh tactical advice under implementation.

Ongoing Review – keep your plan safe and current

A once-correct plan can become dangerous if left unchecked. Ongoing Review protects long-term outcomes by keeping your latest SoA aligned with real life and real markets. Ongoing Review includes:

  • Checking progress against goals and changes in circumstances
  • Reviewing cashflow, debt and mortgage settings
  • Checking portfolio alignment with the SoA and whether the plan remains appropriate
  • Updating the SoA when necessary so the plan stays practical and safe
  • Portfolio guidance, where agreed, for updated allocation decisions and tactical investment decisions within your plan

Ongoing Review is where lasting value is delivered – regular stewardship helps keep a good plan practical, current, and safe over time.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES (limited scope)

Smaller, focused services that address a single need or provide a quick diagnostic:

  • Portfolio Health Check – focused review of current holdings with a short written action plan
  • KiwiSaver and retirement quick review – fund and fee review with clear next steps
  • Cashflow, debt and mortgage triage – priority plan to stabilise and reduce pressure
